The Edmonds sent Brooks Ayers and Vicki Gunvalson a kind thank you note after the death of Jim’s first wife, LeAnn. In the letter, the Edmonds thanked the former couple for sending a floral arrangement to them, and claimed to be keeping Ayers in their prayers as he continues to battle cancer. While that wouldn’t normally be out of the ordinary, their prayers seemed a bit odd, considering Meghan has doubted Ayers’ cancer diagnosis for weeks on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
On Twitter on August 17, Ayers shared the Edmonds’ letter with fans.

A short while after the Edmonds’ letter was shared, a fan noted that Meghan has been vocal with her cancer doubts regarding Ayers, the former boyfriend of Gunvalson, and in response, Ayers called out Meghan for her allegedly phony on-screen behavior.

While Ayers himself has been accused of creating his cancer story line for attention, the Edmonds’ letter seems to hint that it is actually Meghan who has made up a story line. Either way, the truth is sure to play out eventually on The Real Housewives of Orange County, and when it does, the Edmonds could be faced with backlash.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Edmonds’ marriage has also been a hot topic on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Throughout the season, Meghan has been dissed for her comments about Jim’s children from his previous relationships, as well as her failure to work, but according to a new interview with E! News, the Edmonds have a “healthy” and “happy” marriage, and her relationship with her step-daughter, 17-year-old Haley, is perfectly healthy, as well, although many would call it unconventional.
“We have such a non-traditional relationship and I don’t expect many people to relate to that. It doesn’t bother me because it’s not a real issue. My husband and I have a really happy, healthy relationship. You can attack me and my marriage all you want, but when you attack my kids, it’s war.”
